General Characteristics

"Snaidero-cucine per la vita": as the motto states, Snaidero has always created products aimed at meeting the needs of consumers and improving the quality of life in the kitchen.

Going a step further to satisfy the needs of its customers and demonstrate its social commitment, the company decided to create a kitchen that would increase the independence of people with a variety of disabilities.

The project was set into motion based on a feasibility study conducted by the Istituto dei Valori per l'Impresa (Institute of Business Ethics) (ISVI), an organisation that has been performing research and services in the field of corporate social responsibility for many years. The study was coordinated by Professor Mario Molteni, professor of Corporate Economy at the Universitå Cattolica of Milano (Catholic University of Milan), and Professor Vladimiro Kosic, director of the regional Council for the associations of the disabled.

This study revealed that disabled people share many of the same requirements for greater independence and/or safety in the kitchen. For some people these requirements are a necessity while for others they may simply make life more comfortable.
